Luckily urban dictionary now has Orloved (crashing into a ditch), SR20 seems to mean that you took a picture of something, but where does it come from?

SR20 means you took a picture to prove that you own something.

Yes, and it's named after a user who lied about owning something, used poorly-shopped pics. I'll find an explaination for ya.

Kinda. It's slowly growing, I guess? SR20 threw me for a while, until I asked. Apparently there was a user with that name who made some claims but didn't have pics or something.

So, everyone who writes "no SR20" to say they didn't get a photo is using the term completely wrong, amiright?

Well... We just use SR20 to mean picture. But I see where you're coming from...

I assume that is an SR20 block then?

I prefer Klaus' definition:

SR20 = Pics or it didn't happen

Yeah, that's the right one. I think it devolved because nobody knows what it means...

Just as long as you don't dragon while SR20-ing with a potato.

Or wait.

Is that what you are supposed to do.

Well, let's resolve that.

Former commenter SR20-Spitfire Hotrod claimed to have bought a Lotus Esprit. He showed us pictures, we congratulated etc... He then claimed to have gotten out of a speeding ticket because the cop knew him from oppo. This story got the interest of Matt and Ray. They wrote an article about it (mind that this was before Kinja and the possibility to randomly move stuff to the front page). So he got his FP story, and Matt and Ray were on the line for it's accuracy. Around this time reverse GIS came around :( (Or so I think. Maybe it existed longer. But it was first time I heard of it.) So it didn't take long for someone to trace his pics back to some online ad or so. He was then pressured into providing further proof of purchase, or anything. In the end, he gave up, confessed to everything, and was welcomed back to the oppo family. Matt and Ray had a little axe to grind because of the FP article, and they stripped him of his star, but didn't ban him.

From then on the "SR-20 rule" said: "Pics or it didn't happen!"

BTW, did I tell you that I drove the original "Homer" from the TV series today? I was just so busy that I couldn't get any pictures! See where I am going?
